We received the request of a national agency for a very special project. A multinational pharmaceutical company wanted to organise a Corporate Social Responsibility event for 130 international employees, with the objective of emphasising the importance of team work whilst contributing to a good cause.
Let's build something together
Given this brief, we proposed to colloborate with the Hospital of Sant Pau, organising a traditional Spanish carnaval celebration for hospitalised children. An activity social, community-focused and creative, with the ability to inculcate attributes such as cohesion, communication, effort and a sense of belonging. Be extraordinary, feel like a hero!
Following this plan, the day before Carnaval we organised a workshop of superhero costumes in the Hipóstila Room of the Hospital of Sant Pau Complex. The event began with a speech delivered by a representative of a pharmaceutical company, in which the importance of the day's activity was underlined. Subsequently, an art historian presented the Complex, internationally renowned for its spectacular modernist architecture, and gave historical context to the space.
Next, the employees of the company, split into small teams, had to prepare capes, masks and superhero accessories with the help of professional costume designers. They spent all morning designing, cutting, sewing and decorating the pieces that they had to provide. In total, they made more than 60 masks for the small heroes of the hospital.
The event finished the following day with the delivery of the mask to the hospitalised children. With the collaboration of the a local charity, the "Pallapupas" a fun carnaval party was organised in which all the children involved had the opportunity to feel like authentic superheroes full of powers!
